**UPDATE**
i touched up the skin tones, added a photo background and a larger file.
done in GIMP on my Wacom
Christmas present for my brother and his awesome wife. ..just finished
and will be sending both prints to my parents and grandma as presents. 
I'm still getting used to painting but this felt like a good step...especially for being rushed.
